Job Description:
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.

  • Oversee fulfillment operations to ensure the following:

    • Proper allocation/utilization of physical space

    • Timely and accurate receiving of stock

    • Timely and accurate put-away of stock in a manner which provides for optimum efficiency during the order picking process

    • Timely and accurate picking of customer orders in accordance with the delivery of stock and customer priorities

    • Timely and accurate routing of major retailer shipments in accordance with vendor compliance regulations

    • Shipping of customer orders prior cancel dates

  • Planning weekly shipping calendar and staffing plans.

  • Monitoring and improve UPH metrics.

  • Planning future capacity requirements.

  • Negotiate with vendors (freight, supplies, etc) to ensure the company is receiving the most cost effective service/supplies.

  • Provide daily and weekly reports of all distribution activities as required

  • Continually investigate and identify process improvements in warehouse and related areas and communicate same to management

  • Document all operational related procedures and ensure compliance

  • Ensure all department employees, independent contractors and vendors receive appropriate training and monitor skills development

  • Develop department service goals and metrics.
