G's Guide to Venice

We LOVE Venice. So much so that we named a now best-selling collection after it. This gritty beachside town oozes cool, artistic expression and a vagabond-like freedom.

We set our sights on LA not long after we opened our first store in Laguna. Venice, in particular, felt like a natural next step. We made a leap of faith when a space opened up on Abbot Kinney - one of the busiest streets in the US.

Our brand's second location served us well - we hosted dinners, charity events and so many incredible customers there. That space, in particular, also gave us the courage to keep pursuing physical retail.

Despite the many changes this town has seen and the multiple floods and fires it’s endured, Malibu has the same beating pulse of LOVE as always and we're beyond grateful for all the good memories it has given us.

Places to Eat:

Gjelina: We love this place so much we moved closer to it. Gjelina is the BEST farm-to-table food on the block - whether you're eating in or ordering takeout. Be sure to stop by Gjusta Goods, their adjacent boutique, for cool cookbooks and knick knacks.

Great White: A few blocks from Abbot Kinney and just one block off the beach, Great White features a healthy brunch menu and clean, minimalist interior. We're obsessed.

The Butcher's Daughter: This plant-based restaurant has the prettiest interior and is perfect for a meal with friends. Make sure you grab a fresh juice to go on your way out.

Places to Shop:

Burro Goods: This boutique offers a cool, curated collection of gifts and greeting cards. We've been known to go in and buy a year's worth of snail mail.

Erewhon: Would this be a guide to Venice without an Erewhon mention? Although expensive, this health-conscious grocer features an incredible hot foods bar and many local Los Angeles based food brands. Check out their granola, which of course comes in cool glass containers.

gorjana: Our new storefront is centrally located on the famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Come in and try on diamonds, sapphires and solid gold!

Thing to Do:

The Venice Canals: Just off 25th street, the canals offer a refreshing respite from the electric energy of Venice. Get lost walking along the water while admiring the local residences.

The Walk Streets: You can find these hidden walkways just off Abbott Kinney, tucked between sprawling, eclectic homes. Take a stroll to escape from the hustle and bustle of the boulevard, and to explore how the locals live.

The Venice Sign and boardwalk: The infamous Venice sign rests at the entrance to one of the world's most famous boardwalks. Teeming with life, people, and energy, the boardwalk is a must-visit for any tourist.
