G's Guide to Chicago

During college, my family moved to Chicago, and after my first visit, I immediately was drawn to the tremendous vibrancy of the windy city. After school, I moved to Chicago and had the opportunity to experience Chicago culture first hand.

Chicagoans embrace life with a passion like no other and food is a big part of that celebration - specifically, deep dish pizza, which our family loves! Here's a few of my other favorite spots around town:

Places to Eat:

Girl and The Goat: This place books up far in advance - because it's amazing from start to finish. Thankfully, a second location recently opened in Los Angeles!

Lou Malnati's: Our family loves pizza. Lou's is an obvious choice and Chicago staple. We like the location in Lincoln Park near our new store!

La Colombe: We always have La Colombe cold brew at the studio and at home. We're so happy there's a location across the street from our store! It's the best.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream: This is another amazing spot right across the street from our store. We love that this company is female founded and led. The flavor offerings are so creative—and delicious!

Foxtrot Market: Foxtrot has good grab-and-go food, pre-made charcuterie boards and yummy snacks/chic candy. It's like your elevated corner market in the most chic way possible.

Le Bilboquet: Beautiful french food.

Places to Stay:

The Hoxton: Located in a creative, bustling part of town, the Hoxton features a fun rooftop pool and really cool, Instagrammable interiors.

Soho House Hotel: This hotel is located in the West Loop, in a cool historic building. There's only 40 rooms, so it feels intimate and exclusive.
